Yes, an "autoslicer" woudl be definitively great, with autosync/stretch/looping/keymapping...
What beatslicer do you guys (or girls) use in LIve at the moment ?
_ Shortcirctuit free is excellent, but only 2 voices polyphony,
_ Arcdev H4xxor is fine too (but sometimes a bit buggy at the moment? and simple & effective, but not "bloated" of features)...
There isn't so many Beatslicers here...

To be honest, I don't know if Reaktor loads mp3s at all. I never work with mp3s.stale bread wrote:do any reaktor ensemble SLicers read mp3 files,
Beatslicer2 from the R5 New Additions resembles the basic functionality of pHATmatic PRO or INTAKT, but also adds some nice soundshaping options.stale bread wrote: and what reaktor ensembles do you recommend for slicing?

I have heard that No host (or sampler/slicer) makes "direct" use of mp3 files. In order to read them, they have to convert mp3 to wav before using it. That is what Live does, and many others.stale bread wrote:do any reaktor ensemble SLicers read mp3 files, and what reaktor ensembles do you recommend for slicing?

i finally gave up waiting for my favorite host to include a useful slicer/editor/arranger and bought LiveSlice
i already had Beatslicer/Quantizer and used it enough to realize it wasn't all I was hoping for
LiveSlice is all that and more
http://www.livelab.dk/liveslice.php
now if my host does add a smart slicing tool, I'm fairly sure it won't have all I've got now

LiveSlice is one of those apps that you know is good but hardly anyone talks about it at length, i know shaman uses it and rm, but i wish someone would really talk about it in depth, i don't even have any paticular questions just would like to add more to my collection of insights
