You are very much welcome all
Synesthesiac - Yep! some crazy stuff I have done inside FreeAmp
most engineers would say "but, but you can't do that" tis where the opening lines of the manual come from
Have two brothers who are engineers, one used to work for ensoniq, the other works for one of Detroits big three auto companies designing A\V equipment
Both have told me reasons why what I did won't work
But as a musician and not an engineer, I don't know better so am moving forward with it anyhow
When I feel that I can no longer take FreeAmp forward, The source files will be opened up to all to mangle in what ever way you would like
But you got to give me a chance to see what I can do first, this is what I do for fun.
BTW got a mail from a nice gent who is having problems running v2.0 in linux? said all earlier versions were OK, so I will try to figure out what I did that makes v2.0 not run on linux? will let you know when a solution is found.
Peace to all

hey i don't care how you get these great results. i've read enough history of science and technology to know that their evolution has benefitted from eccentricities and serendipity.
i just wanted a true cabinet bypass so i can mess around with cab impulses

Thanks a lot, FrettedSynth & grymmjack
This is a great, great multifx even for non-guitar sources, used Freeamp SE a lot and this is even better.
thanks again & sunny days,

I can't get FreeAmp2 to work in Live5, Minihost or Savihost ... it doesn't show up in the Live browser, and mini-host/savihost refuse to load it.
I running XP with an AMD 1.8 CPU , all previous versions of freeamp work fine, as do all other Fretted Synth Products.
I'm wondering if this is an SSE issue? I cannot run any plugs with SSE on my system ... any ideas?

Yes the current version 2 of FreeAmp uses SSE for the Reverb, but I'm begining to re-think my reasons for using this? I think this might be the reason for problems in linux? Will let you know as soon as I learn a bit more. For live5 it might not be showing up in the browser because its not recognized upon scan because of SSE requirements?thecontrolcentre wrote:I can't get FreeAmp2 to work in Live5, Minihost or Savihost ... it doesn't show up in the Live browser, and mini-host/savihost refuse to load it.
