for instance, using an mpc sequencer as master... which host has the tightest midi/audio sync?

tracktion? live? cubase? something else? this is the most important feature for me right now...

I am using external effects in SX3 with success. Everything is compensated.

i'd like to find which hosts slaves to incoming mtc the best...

I think very few people around here has tried it with more than 1 host. Maybe try Gearslutz.com or some other forum where probably more people have done these things.

The weak link here is the very low Midi clock rate. Hardware... Sample-accurate sync is impossible.

which host syncs best to hardware?
