And nah, Naive is going to increasingly earn it's name as time goes on, I think. SCAMP does everything Naive does (well, except joystick control, removed that for SCAMP because it was crashing a certain host. Yup... Ableton again!)

I won't say never but Naive isn't a priority right now. (It's kind of competition against myself. The only reason I still offer it at all is because I promised everybody I always would. )

it uses around half the cpu resouirces on my system also.
Ableton live AMD 4400X2, 2 gig of fast cosair ram.
It was around 11-12% 2 channels on a simple drumloop, now it's around 5-6.

Just to confirm, SCAMP's protection sceme is Challenge-Response, correct?

Yes, you send us your machine-unique serial number when you purchase (you can't enter the purchase page without entering it) and we issue you a key to unlock SCAMP on your machine.

We also understand that machines need to be rebuilt, systems get upgraded, etc. So if you send us an email explaining why you need one, we WILL issue our customers new keys, free of charge (at our discretion, but I won't reject any reasonable request... just don't expect to get 3 new keys a week. )

While this potentially means customers can get a free copy for their friends, I'd rather lose a sale or two to that than have unhappy customers out there. Paying customers are the good-guys, and I want to make you happy.

This was the least obtrusive copy protection scheme we could do, short of no protection at all. We also offer a fully functional evaluation period, and will NEVER use dongles. Again, we want to make you happy.
