Obtaining THIS sound with SS2

Hey folks...I have a longshot request. I used to play in a band and we recorded some stuff and I'm trying to recreate one of the tunes. I am looking for the synth sound that was used on it, or something close. I've tweaked around with a number of things but have not yet gotten it.
Hard to describe, so I will post a sound sample of it later. It was originally from a Korg Poly800 MkII and is a sort of bell-like attack with a zing afterwards, along with a bunch of digital delay...
Like I said, I'll post audio from the original for analysis, but if anyone has some initial thoughts on sounds of the poly800 type, I'd apreciate it.

Thanks for the replies. I will get the sample up soon - been a super busy week. Running a business is as much work as they say!
but I'm not complaining.
I'd really prefer to do this with SS2 or even SampleTank 2.1XL rather than buying yet another sample set or synth. The Poly850 VST is a bit on the pricey side for something I'll probably use once (though I'm sure there are other uses for such a thing). I'm more inclined to get Wusikstation to add to my arsenol - but SS2 is so cool, I have a feeling I really don't need anything more, at least for this particular thing. But Wusik is also a great deal right now to get my hands on a whole bunch of additionall possibilities for the future.
Thanks for the offer, Kim...I will gladly take you up on it
BTW Squids: can't wait for the SS2 update - hope it comes soon and has some cool stuff in it. Will it go beyond ST2.1 or will it just incorporate the updates that are already in ST?

Ok...I'm back from editing out a snippet of the sound I'm looking for. It's the high synth sound that start at the beginning of the clip with the drums. As I said before, this came from a Poly800 MkII, if that's any help.
Synth from The Game
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Gee I am still waiting for the Lyle Mays' AYGWM synclavier-derived harmonica solo patch with LFO triggering that Lyle described years back in Keyboard. Any progess Squids?

I think access to an old Synclavier will be required. I want it too though.Beardedone wrote:Gee I am still waiting for the Lyle Mays' AYGWM synclavier-derived harmonica solo patch with LFO triggering that Lyle described years back in Keyboard. Any progess Squids?

What I would realy love to know how to set up the pedal controlling pitch via a foot pedal triggered LFO as Lyle desribed it.
Cheers,
Gordon

Thanks Kim! I will try this once I figure out how to configure my foot pedal to the standalone
and figure out where this file is supposed to be. I have installed it but I cannot find it.

Hey Kim I finally figured out where my combis are stored. But this one is not even close to the live AYGWM sound from that Lyle Mays uses on the Travels album. The best one is from the Montreal Jazz festival outdoor show btw.
