Why not? It says in his discogrophy he led that song.

Wow, this has been real fun. I was depressed all day, you know, with the FBI thing and all.

This is just what the doctor ordered. I am going to bed.

Doh! S.HUSH, that is NOT a lightsaber!

[cymbal crash]

Tip your waitresses! I'll be here all weekend!

Goodnight!

Jeebs Fat wrote:Hello there. I would like to make my first ever submission to this month's contest. However, I have never uploaded anything and have no clue as to where and how to host it somewhere. May I have some help, please?
Whoops! This little plea almost got forgotten.

1. You basically need to read the instructions on the first page of the SUBMISSIONS thread in the Music Cafe.

2. Format your song accordingly. Make sure to fill in the ID3 tags in the 'Properties' of you song. You can do this with a 'right click/Properties' in Windows or you can do this in iTunes or Winamp under the right-click/Info menu (this is best).

3. Post in here again and ask for someone to host your song. Alternatively, back several pages in this thread is a free hosting service that was kindly posted by Loveless. Check it out. ;)

Cheers,

Okay, maybe it's just my hubris talking...

(And not to take anything away from his obvious skills...)

But I think I can compete with Jeff on the sole basis of writing a guitar part that adds to the bottom line of a song.

Aren't different players like different flavors? Apples and oranges? Why compare, and why limit yourself to one?

Sometimes a Guitarjeff part is the thing. Or a Markleford part. So why not a dreibel part?

Feel the love! Vegetable rights and peas!

I cant agree with you more.
I even have a story to back it up.

One nite I went to an open mike. I liked going to this particular session because the house band was really hot. And I really wanted to go that nite because there was a guest guitar player that I wanted to hear. (National recording artist at that)

Well half way through the first set, they called me up to play with them. I was scared shitless!! OMG I had to play with the MONSTER guitar player. I was doomed for sure.

Well, as I was tuning up my guitar, I decide that I wasnt going to let that get the best of me, and that I should tell "My story" when I play

We started the first tune, and my solo came up 2nd. I closed my eyes and proceeded to play. When I was done playing, I opened my eyes only to see the entire audience standing and appaulding. The Monster guitar player turned to me and said "Holy shit"

From that point on, I knew it wasnt how I measured up to somebody else, it was all about how honest I was in telling my story. I havent looked back since.

When you say that you can compete with Jeff in contibuting to the bottom line, I believe you. I also believe that ANYBODY can contribute to the bottom line, and be just as effective as anybody else. It may not come in a well felt riff, but it may come in some well strummed chords, or in a nice tweak to an LFO. Hell it could come from bangin on a garbage can (anybody seen STOMP). It's just a matter of finding how to do it.
