Does it work for you? I can load AVI just fine, playback and sync is smooth as silk, but I get an error at every .Mov file I tried to load. Even encoded my own, using different codecs, still no go.

If it does work on your machine, could you post the codec, bitrate etc used?

Thanks.
No, that wasn't me.

Nevermeind, just found out that Cubase doesn't automatically switch to the proper playback engine, it has to be done manually every time you switch format :bang:

Yes, cubase and QT have never worked well, I still use VST 5/32 and I have never ever been able to get a quicktime movie to work well within it.

What do you mean by doesn't work well exactly?

Once I had chosen the proper engine, Cubase had no problem with playback of a 320x240 QT file rendered to Mpeg4 and ima 4:1 audio.

The problem I have now is that the embeded markers are not showing, even though Cubase did open a new marker track upon file import, and the video and corresponding audio track are not locked together; if you move one, the other doesn't follow. Weird.

There's probably some settings I missed, but this should really be default behavior (showing the imported markers and locking the audio/video/markers together according to timecode I mean)...
No, that wasn't me.
