yeah, he said that just like other users he finds it (paraphrasing here) clunky, it will be changed/improved and it did not get into v6

This is MY (financial) experience of Live:
V4 = £300+ as an initial purchase
V5 = + £100 for the so called ENHANCED wokflow
V6 = + £100 so I can use both my CPU's!
V7 = + £100 so I can ACCTUALLY USE the bloody MIDI!
MMMmmm ... this is going to get expensive ...

I'm asking because, as of now, beside Ext and demos, I have no softwares that are actually up to date, simply because they did what I wanted when I bought them so they still do...

All i can say is, we are collecting your wishes and for each release we try to find a good balance of things to put in. If we could do more within one year we would do more. We do not strategically hold back things. Example: I am using the MIDI editor, and it goes on my nerves often enough. I would love to see it improved. And every one else at the company immideately will agree. But there are tons of other important tasks, too. We do our best, this is all we can offer to you now.
I would suggest we wait till you guys played with Live 6 and then we will see where to go from there.

Any word on an elegant implementation for the functionality covered by "Dummy Clip" workarounds in Live 6?
Also expected dual screen support and hoped for a quicker way to make groups from selected channels.
The midi for me is fine. It owuld be nice to have probability and slides and destructive manipulation/generation but really 95% of what I need is there and I find the grid and fold to be two of the best implementaions in any piano roll I've used.

As has no doubt been commented on elsewhere: Live 6 @ $599 + Operator @ $149 + Sampler @ $199 = a total cost of $947
. Obviously they will do bundles, but even so....-

It is not necessary to buy Operator or Sampler. Live6 is $599 which is relatively expensive. Now if it was $950 and you had no choice, that would be shocking. Also, the $599 is the boxed version. The download version is $499
I got Live Lite with a hardware purchase so my investment is Live5 = $250 + upgrade to Live6 = $120 for a total of $370 - I am happy with that purchase.
