I have 25gb left, which is about 1/3, and yep, I use one hard drive.

Can you export the phrase that screws up as a midi file, or as a score in the demo?
Trying to change the world by posting on a forum is like crying on the Sun to put it out.

Yeah. When I do that it's fine.

Ildon - I've seen this before with FL and older plugins. PPG Wave 2.V did this for me.

Is it an option to use the VSTi version? VST plug-ins have an option "Use fixed-size buffers" and "Rendering mode notify" that might help; the DXi wrapper doesn't appear to have these. I don't know what the deal is with DXi support at the moment.

I wouldn't have thought the problem was ASIO-related as it is the rendering process that is affected.

PM me if I can help with this - it's worth persevering with FL.

Analogue or digital – which is better? There's only one way to find out... FI-I-IGHT!!!

Post

Yeah, I did all that. It works, I can use the VSTi plugins in FL... it just has trouble exporting. I can't seem to find the option for that with the VST FX, though.

insert an fx into the mixer
click on the effect in mixer so that it pops up/appears
top left side of the plugin wrapper is a down arrow near a folder icon. click it
"used fixed size buffers" is a selection in the menu, -usually.

HAH. Fixed it! Fixed it all! Yes! Go me! :hyper:!!

The problem was the VST wrapper. I was using my Cakewalk VST adapter without realizing it. I moved all my VSTs to the FL6 VST plugins folder and now use the FL wrapper. Everything works! Rendering is great and the volume problems stopped! :hyper:!! Thanks dudes. :)

Guess Gol will get a sale.

Thanks especially Grymmjack, Ouroboros and Danny Darko. Danny's suggestion was what really got me thinking and wondering. :D

ahh. friggin cakewalk and their glorious vst adapter..

:D just kidding, it's a decent adapter, you're just a goofball for not realizing it was in use :D

glad you got it sorted man. flstudio owns you. go buy it, and apologize to gol for doubting his uber-coder skills while kissing his feet and throwing roses where he walks :P

i'd post this problem and solution to the imageline forum here on kvr and once you buy it, on the techsupport forum of fl as well for the benefit of other people who may have the same problem.

Yeah. It's hard to tell.

Screw that. Gol could've figured it out just as easily if he tried a little harder. I will buy FLStudio if it doesn't screw up after a few more tests.

Ok, ok I guess FL was made more for you people than for me. But still. And I think anyone who braves the FL forums has got more cohones than me.

Then again, I've ended up on the forums for stuff I don't own like, I dunno, Sonar or simething due to web searches coming up with the words I'm looking for that actually scare me more.
Come to think of it, most audio-related products' forums that aren't on kvr seem to be full of Austrian and Belgian teens on angel dust. You wouldn't think there'd be a lot of dusted kids in the low countries.

Saying, "Now I can go make more trance" is like getting rescued by a good Samaritan upon hearing you blow your rape whistle and then sauntering over to the street corner while the bloke who just saved is still talking to you and flagging down a John with a lifted skirt and then hopping into thw John's car licking his fuzzy jubblies for a mere quid right then and there. With slurping noises and great gusto.

:nutter:

And you all have arke to thank for me becoming a trance kiddie.
