Getting MIDI Channel to trigger Slicer in FLS62006-07-19T14:48:12+00:00How do I get the MIDI channel to play/trigger the MIDI Slicer in FLS6 the same way I would play a synth?? It works when you open FLS as a Rewire slave in itself and also if you loop the midi back into FL. The problem with this is that I get a lot of midi dropouts and lags these ways.. Heres what I mean..
Hope this can be done!

First, turn off the auto-dump of the midi data when you slice )on the Slicer channel)
Or use a different pattern. I can see all the dumped data on the Slicer piano roll in there.
Then just set the port on the midi out to 2 or something, set the incoming port on the slicer to the same port (where the box with the green zero is up on your pic there), just hover your mouse over it...
This is actually one of the biggest problems with FL, the native generators don't have any way to route MIDI to them internally. It pisses me off alot and I dont understand why they dont impliment it. I think they really need to work on their internal MIDI routing as it is.
Ok so it seems that FL has a weird midi quirk to it (In this situation).. If you loop your midi back into FL the PLAYBACK is all over the place (when playing the original and the loopback midi you can hear the differences) but when you record, the timing of the notes are exact on (if I click on em the time is the same as the original).. So I guess I will use this method for now..
