I just hope it doesn't have the CM logo plastered all over it.

Pity it doesn't have freeze though - Samplitude is supposed to have the best freeze implementation. - Anyone know what the midi editor is like in this version?

This sounds good - Sampitude V8 SE on next months CM 103.

Might be handy for mixing, though I don't thinks it's Midi is that good. Its pitch shifting arrangement is excellant, based on the cheap Magix studio I purchased a few years back. Though, I did find that one a bit akward to use, it was a confusing program.

I think someone mentioned, in regards to the Key's mag one, that it is a little bit difficult to register, cause you have to be connected to the interenet. Well, I might not have it installed on my computer all the time, and should I have to re-register it every time I install it?

Even though they say its 32bit floating point, it seems only to save up to 24bit/96hz?

...mmmm..I will keep my eyes open for next months CM mag.

Well guess what came in the post today...? CM103 with a free copy of Samplitude SE and 8 pages of tutorials. A satisfying thud could be heard from my front door as the CMDVD with Mag hit the ground.

If you are a subscriber you should get it anytime now if not a few days max, actually it may be in shops already.

Keep us (well, me at least ) posted on the learning curve. I'd be coming from acid/flstudio, so if you've used either or both, could you give an estimation as to how easy the transition would be? Cheers.

Correct me if I'm wrong (It's not unusual!) but I believe DAWs usually use a higher bit rate for their internal path (fx, processing etc) than the recording rate.
I'm looking forward to this one too!

The Keys version needs a live internet connection during installation, which makes it an absolute no go on my DAW.
"Magix business crap" said the hotliner, but there's no way around it.
Who needs Magix anyway, I'll get the new Wavelab Studio and that's it.
Just as warning for those who didn't know, think twice before buying.

I can tell you now actually. I have used the full version of Samplitude and FL studio (I still have versions of both) so I would say if you are more into pattern sequencing then maybe Samplitude SE might be a bit different for you, if you are used to ACID pro then Samplitude I would say is closer to ACID than FL for sure.

CM 103 has 8 pages of tutorials to get anyone unfamiliar with Samplitude up an running. Frankly it's very simple to use anyway.
