List of features I need:

1. Convert multiple wavs at the same time to mono <-- which Audacity cannot do.
2. Fade in/Fade out
3. Zoom capability

thats it. Audacity is such a pain...

EDIT: Nevermind, Cubase converts a batch of files easily enough. :shrug:

the latest version of audacity has batch processing.

Goldwave, though not free (but inexpensive) is very good and does batch processing and a lot of other stuff. Even if I now have Sound Forge, I still use it sometimes.

I might consider getting Goldwave at a later time as I would like to have a quick wave editing program at hand.
