now i've got the sample pack which contains 2 types of files WAV (Windows PCM) and WAV (Windows ACM: MPEG Layer-3) which cubase doesn't recognize.. theres a way to convert these manually to PCM but it will take ages.. any suggestions? maybe a mass file format converter? if theres any

So you want to use audio files directly in Cubase - is that what you're saying?

I mean, normally, with a samplepack, you'd be using it inside of a VSTi, and then the problem is not cubase.
Anyway, for mass conversion of files I know that you can do it from wavelab, but look at audio editors here... I know there's a free one in the list, so maybe you should check out what it can do for you.

Windows ACM MPEG Layer-3. Isn't that the fancy name for an mp3 ?

yes it's mp3.. but i totally forgot about batch processing.. did it with adobe audition.. thanx jupiter8!
