Hi Torben.

I remember there was a specific thread here about three months ago asking that either you or Voxengo would bring out a full-featured Gate effect. I'm sure that this is going to be very popular

I'm interested in the GUI - I see that you have not only brought in your new logo (as on MPL1) but also altered the look of the knobs from how they are on the other Golden plugs I have. Also all the fonts - these do look neater, and it would be interesting to see these fonts on GAC1 for example, where there is a lot of text information. Are you planning to update the others to harmonise the look?

Torben, sorry to point out a mistake : there is a little error in the name of your new plugin.
It is called "Golde Audio Gate", instead of "Classic Audio Gate"...

$78 normally and $65 durring intro.

We expect to release MPL-1 early September and about one new AU plug-in from our present series every month.

This is one of the biggest things I am missing in my DAW, AWESOME STUFF !!! I can't wait to hear it.

Trusting the quality I have come to expect of Kjaerhus, this will be a top quality piece of gear.

Only thing is, I'm surprised that the GUI didn't follow the other Gold VSTs, this plugin looks significantly more like the MPL1. Will we see updates for the other gold plugins moving them into this sorta of GUI in the future so we have a matching set ?

Excellent! We'll finally have a [I'm sure] magnificent VST gate, and the new look is rather stylish

take this with a spoonfull - no a cupfull - of salt, since I'm the one who did those demos,

but this is pretty much the end of all gates for me. I can't think of why I'd need another one now, hardware or otherwise.

It's extremely fast, so there will be no one complaining about sloppy digital gating anymore. It has all the features you could ask for. (well no lookahead, but the attack is so damn fast you won't be needing such a thing). In fact you can get the attack to "bite in" the wave form on basses, as it can be set faster than a single cycle (1176 anyone?).

The sound is actually an improved version of the golden audio series. You'll find it has somewhat similar character to MPL-1, that kind of smoothness.

The biggest surprise of all in this plugin was how damn good a compressor it is in ducking mode. It's not a traditional compressor as such, and a bit tricky to set up, but I've succesfully used it in drum busses, bass sidechains, and even mastering (

). Because the attack is so fast, the compression sound is a bit similar to some of the more slammed Empirical Labs Distressor modes.
