I thought I'd found a 1967 album by TD I'd never heard (or heard of), but when I got home and put it on it became clear that I was listening to the ALBUM named Tangerine Dream by the BAND named Kaleidoscope.

In the back of my mind there's some residue of this knowledge from the last time I was buying TD albums (early 80s), it just didn't click when I was in the music shop. It WAS in the Tangerine Dream section, but I don't think that's an excuse.

60s recordings with TD looking like Pink Floyd don't just turn up unannounced.

I just hope I can grow to like Kaleidoscope. It sounded friendly, at least.

The cover made me a bit suspicious, but I thought hey, there's only one Motorpsycho right?

I've got the original mono vinyl of that (UK) Kaleidoscope album - I love it to bits. Nearly every track's a psychedelic pearl, but especially The Sky Children.

Easy mistake to make though.

I would have caught that one, but then I'm such a nutter hard core MP fan I might have bought it for the novelty value

Damn, I might just have to pick up that Kaleidoscope album, I'd probably like it more than I do most of the "real" Tangerine Dream stuff
