oooooh. I like the mix of the MPL-1 and Golden Series' GUI's. Nice touch.

You need a host that supports plugins with more than 2 inputs, like ext or cubase/nuendo. Otherwise you won't be able to use the sidechain inputs of the plugin.zeep wrote:I'm searching for a good vst effect for sidechain compression. How will this work with your plugin? Can i open an instance of GAG on one channel and 'send' that audiostream to another channel with an instance of GAG set to 'receive' that key signal?
You feed your audio to be compressed or gated to the gate main inputs, and send the sidechaining signal to the sidechain input of the plugin. This may be tricky, or even impossible on too many hosts unfortunately, depending on how it's supported.

As Kingston indicated, there is no need for such thing on this gate as it is quite fast; it would be like putting propellers on a jet plane._dada_ wrote:Any chance for a switchable look ahead ?
There is a mono version that would work on most hosts that does not support four inputs. You can put it on a stereo track; the left input is the main-chain and the left input the side-chain. What you suggest zeep would never work properly as you got no way of knowing in which order they will be called by the Host and thus you will have 50% change of messing up the alignment between the side-chain and main-chain.Kingston wrote:You need a host that supports plugins with more than 2 inputs, like ext or cubase/nuendo. Maybe I'm crazy, but I have a feeling that the answer is already on the GAG page (i.e. what works well with a gate and starts with an 'r' and ends with a 'verb'?)2windy wrote:[Prays] Please please let it be Golden Delay next! [/Prays]

I love the Golden Series, but would also like to see it a more "complete" effects bundle. Prime candidates to add would be (I think) a Reverb (in the IK Classic mould), a Delay (similar perhaps to the Lexicon ones), a Multiband, a simple Multimode Filter (like the Sonalkis one) and lastly (for now
) something like Reason's Scream4 module. Now that would be awesome!!

Perhaps so, but it's expensive (more than I would pay, for sure) and has a dongle. I think that Torben could show them how it should be done in every respect - quality of product AND good care for customer interests.Kingston wrote:IK CSR plate is pretty much as good as they come.Stupid American Pig wrote:I wouldnt mind a good native plate reverb sim either

Exactly! And I hope you're right... I've been most curious to see what a Kjaerhus pro/gold series reverb might be like.

Yes, indeed - but it isn't a Kjaerhus.
