any chance Toxic 3 might be able to load and play sytrus patches, the way, sytrus can load and play DX7 patches?

Probably not my place to say, but in terms of features the two synths are quite different & I'd doubt that ToxicIII could play Sytrus patches!
OTOH, I'd *love* it if ToxicIII could import DX7 (or any other Yamaha FM synth) SyxEx data - any chance of that?!

Shif.

You'd be able to extract only the parameters which are present in a DX7 patch, so there's not much point with DX7 import.

Not going to happen, basically. The synths have different structures and wouldn't really be compatible.

see that's the rub. to me the only reaoson to shell out dough, even a little amount like for this one,is if there's huge patch present support. I've got a bazillian sytrus presests which I could use on this baby if it could run-em.

why would you want to use your sytrus presets in toxic if you have sytrus?

I don't own sytrus...but use the demo alot and sometimes render to wave. I plan on buying one day cause its phat...but for a second, I thought I had a low cost/low cpu alternative in toxic.
also, will toxic at some point become a fruity plug-in, that will respond to slide changes in piano-roll and all that?

Soon there will be the same zillion patches for Toxic, so that questions like this one won't happen anymore... Just wait a month.
