The Hornet was the first synth I ever saw - it was the only one we had in our school. I must check this out - pure nostalgia. :hihi:

Used to own a wasp. It was the first synth I ever owned. It's all over the meninblack album which I thought was great. Nice little synth and the VSTi's not bad either!

I love daHornet for its solid basslines. Definitely one of the best freeware synths.
Qw, music from twelve weeks in quarantine is now streaming on spotify and bandcamp. This is a collaboration with the the smallest of worlds VR art project, that documents our living spaces in times of isolation. You can join their project here.

congrats liqih
for that great synth ;)

How could you program this thing anyway? Every time I tried creating my own patches, it didn't work. I could only tweak knobs (ADSR), but not switch modes on and off. I guess I should really look into the ToTc patches (cause if I can still remember, it was one of the instruments that was a prodigy in terms of DnB), but then again I already uninstalled my WASP... er... DaHornet.

I think I saw and original in our school to in 1982.

Am I right in thinking it's this but I remember the one I saw did not have a proper keyboard but a flat keyboard like a stylophone but in a vinyl like material.

aaaahhh the memories

:-D
It is a gorgeous demo indeed. We use Jens alot for audio demos at pro-sounds. In fact, I believe he's working on one for the adder collection....:hihi: (did I ever send you the 1.1 update???)

More to the point though, there are some demo presets available at our website. Check'em out. DaHornet Collection will be getting a major facelift as well within the coming months, any registered users will recieve this v1.5 update free of charge...so no reason not to buy now. :D

Peace
still planning to update the presets?

cheers,
Theo
Hi Theo! :D

Yes, we are! :D In fact, I just finished the daAlfa2k collection update, and I'm packing it up for release this week...then, the daHornet update is my next project. :) I've already started actually.

now all we need is a z3ta update :hihi:
That's coming too! :hyper:

Actually, the whole soundset range is getting updated!!! :D From the Albino set to the Adder collection. :D

We just got a little stalled, coz, after consulting with my good buddy Simon Cann (Thanx Simon!!! :D ), I've decided to put a little more work into the documentation standard we had developed...but I'm going to release the daAlfa2k collection v1.5 without the new docs, since they aren't ready...and then add them later with the 2.0 version.

Ok, gotta go...helping my friend at his engine shop today (yuppers, ToTc is actually a damn good mechanic and machinist! :P Who knew)

Peace 8)

Your mother.

:P

yes, I suppose if you're 16, living with your mother, then they probably are. But for those of us that spend weeks constructing them, registering a business to sell them, paying taxes, and earning our living this way, they're priced just right. ;)

Post

i pay tax , i earn my living didn't see this one this month bought more 400 $ dollars of software (upgrading to xxl for fl , buying toxic 3 promo , upgrading from beatslicer to beatcreator , the softplug adventus bundle , atom splitter dune delay (7$ nice price) and electronic sounds Ubergate )and all this to celebrate my 25th birthday
but your presets cost 30 euros when the soft once costing 40$ is now for free so reajust your price grand_pa joe
.......
