Voting in these competitions is always brutal. I like listening to just about everything, and can usually pick out a few favorites, but then sorting a top ten is really tough.

I thought Mellotronaut's polka was very well done. Why not vote for it? I don't know, it kind of scared me. Scoops (Spain?) and Sepheritoph (sp? -- Resistance) were both were really good, but I didn't see any genre combining going on there. I liked River Blindness and several others as well.

Anyway, I notice a lot of people don't seem to have a link to more of their music. Why not?

For me it's because I couldn't care less about the songs I've made before. I make shite now, but I made shittier stuff before. I don't have the mp3s, the project files, urls to anywhere they may hide, nothing. Ask me for a compilation of my songs, and I could probably find the last three or four.

Why?

lthough I had trouble voting this month, certainly I had no trouble picking mello's as my #1!

One time I had trouble voting for mello for #1... I intended to, but was so tired when I edited my list in winword that he wasn't even on the list any more.

Somewhat Important Announcement Thingy

I'm considering leaving administration of the contest to someone else. My first thought was Scoops, as he's already been doing a lot of the admin workload by tallying votes for just about all of this year so far. He's keen on the idea, in fact, and would like the opportunity.

However, if anyone else out there thinks that they'd make a better candidate, or believes that Scoops is a ticking timebomb of rage just waiting to unfairly rain fire upon the masses, then please speak up and let the character-assassination begin!

The public at large shall weigh the pros and cons. (and I'll have more than my two-cents leverage in the matter!)

Otherwise, pending approval by Ben, we'll hand things over to Scoops. And may the Fates have mercy on his soul...
