Heh. Good point. Ofcourse I can't solve the ASIO issue, but you can always run it with MME if you're not going to use an external MIDI keyboard anyway.

does it look for ASIO drivers on the host system still though ??? since ive just tested this for aMUSEd and it ran off my memory stick using both ASIO and MME drivers for my echo indigo IO ...

Yeah, it does look for the preferred drivers. If your preference is ASIO then it will try to find ASIO. If it can't find it, then it should revert to MME.

Would it not make sense to include WDM support too? - I'd have thought more PC's would have WDM driver support out of the box without needing anything extra installing.

Is there anyway of adjusting the latency for the MME drivers?

I'd like to use it on a laptop with the built-in soundcard but it is stuttering too much with the MME driver.

I will put MME latency tweaking on the to-do list. Thanks for the suggestion! However, I don't think you'll ever get impressive latency performance from MME.

Even ASIO4ALL's latency isn't that impressive,DirectSound is a lot worse,and the best MME can give you is something like the worst ASIO setting you can choose.

So,I'd stick with ASIO4ALL

Yeah, so would I. But when you're running Tunafish from a stick on "other computers" then MME may be all you've got.

Actually, latency adjustment for MME would be a big help. I get stuttering on one computer that I use Tunafish on -- and it should be able to handle it easily. (The same computer can handle a load of plug-ins using Psycle, for example, and latency doesn't matter much, since I rarely do live input.)
