anther vote for Mac AU. I too think you'll be surprised. There is a bit of a shortage of affordable, high quality effects on the Mac. PSP and Tritone Digital are the only devs that readily come to mind.

i really like the idea of Mac apps also since no real decent budget Reverb has come out in a while... really looking for a GOOD EQ!

Forget Digi - you make too good a product for too honest of a price for them to give you an SDK because they are totally tight assed with that and will make you jump through hoops and meet with them, sign THEIR NDA, give them a demo, all before they even allow or consider letting you release it and then they will impose some strange condition that you must charge 20x the price you already do for native plugs.Aleksey Vaneev wrote: And I still have no access to RTAS market (Digidesign refuses to answer to my developer requests).

Westex, I have no idea about the release order at the moment. Right now I'm planning to release some free plug-in for testing, then I'm going to collect and fix problem reports (if any) and then I'll start to work on actual plug-in ports. In fact I'm most interested in releasing improved versions of existing plug-ins. So, these releases won't really be ports, but they will be fully rewritten versions that support Mac OS X in equal amount.

As the things are moving on, seems sensible to me to target Universal Binary versions directly
I suppose easily though, that such marketing strategies as already been studied ?

Yeah. PPC is dead. Apple themselves has stated that development for ppc will cease in a coupple of years.Krakatau wrote:As the things are moving on, seems sensible to me to target Universal Binary versions directly

Sounds great! Let me know if you ever need any Mac testers.Aleksey Vaneev wrote:Westex, I have no idea about the release order at the moment. Krakatau, sure, universal binaries are my goal. I just do not have MacIntel computer right now to test it well myself. That will require additional $3000 of my budget which I'm not happy to release since my current PPC Mac stands collecting dust 99% of the time. Having two Macs collecting dust is a bit too luxury.
