every other group (seq, sends, instruments etc) should have different background colors, like this forum having 2 colors (blue and darkgrey) - would be easier to see that where one instrument + sends etc starts and stops. if somebody hears it from XT team then let me know, if it's not hard then maybe putting it to xt2??

Well you can use the header background element to increase separation. I'd prefer being able to assign different header colours to audio and VST tracks and sequencer components.

This is not the only skin where the headers divide the left-hand area quite well:

that skin is ecolutionsuit_bl, great skin, it works as you said well when you have million things on your list, i think i need making versions working better like that, but i still would like to get that feature as it wouldn't limit your creativity so much - and highlighting selected group feature too - colored outline box or something.

I think having alternating colours would just confuse more.

There's a dropdown menu at the top of the left-hand strip, you can choose to Show all, Selected and Auto. They really help with busy projects.

Selected shows only the items on selected track
Auto expands the selected track items and minimizezzz rest.

only 2 different colors - of course, you don't have to use different colors

so it's up to skin makers and it's not hard to change it.

i made demo with paintshop demostrating this, also selected track is there. i picked colors quickly so it would look even clearer when putting some time to this but you get my idea.

Ive never made any skins but I like modifiying existing colors to my own taste.

because you aren't the only one who requested that, he already made several versions, like most skins available at asseca's site.

Despite what R.A.W. said, that version in the screen shot is the blue-est version (I think

) , so I'm not sure to what red areas you are referring. I'd be glad to adjust it for you, just need some more instructions.

The areas I'm talking about in the pic are in midi track 3 on the far right "where it says midi2" and the outlining of the envelope.
