Hello. I'm playing around with some cello samples in FL, and I would like some kind of VST-plugin with a good vibrato (alteration of the pitch, not volume). What would be the best (free) solution for me?

Can't you add modulation via MIDI? Probably the easiest way. I found and old thread about this here, see if it helps.

you can do it in the sampler itself in FL under ins -> pitch. There you can setup an envelope and LFO.
