Anwser this question for me....

How many of you would pay for a sample pack if it were an extensive library of various synthesizer sounds?

Let me say, hypothetically that I release a 2GB library of high quality leads, pads, percussion, etc done on various keyboards and synthesizers such as the Korg TR, microkorg, Virus, etc for approximately $4.95 or perhaps $9.95 per library. Would you be game? Multi-format of course. Perhaps I would even be up for suggestions and such as to what sounds folks wanted. Please offer your opinions.

P.S. on a funny note, I know I could make money simply off a Korg Tr patch, it is the one lil john uses all the time. I'd rather create original sounds.

You'd better be careful about using romplers to create sample CD's, as you're basing your product on recordings owned by other companies, which is generally frowned upon if not actively sued-against. If you stick to analogs and VA's you'd be ok.

Personaaly I would most probably not be that interested (I got too many synths that I don't know how to use alreay), but at that price it sounds like a great deal.

Well, no, my Korg Tr has raw waveforms, and you can do synthesis on it. Ahh, well I suppose I see what you mean, but if I build the sound myself, then it would make no sense. I'll have to look into that, but I don't see a huge issue there as i'm sure they realize I bought this keyboard to make music and using the synthesizer to make sounds with it, I would never take raw sound data and sell it, I am all too aware of the consequences behind such actions.

Sorry no offence, but selling 2GB of stuff for $5 is :nutter:
As you can see with your poll - this won't work - trust me.
