Wow, this is awesome, right up with your other top end quality plugins Torben, I absolutely love the new GUI !
I think the search for a good gate is now over, ducking mode is also coool! Reminds me so much of the awesome Sonalksis compressor, except that this thing can pump way way more, I think you'll have another buyer here
I can't wait to see the GCO with this GUI and the GEQ too (drools) ... wow !

How do I set this thing up in SX3 with external sidechain? Let say GAG on a bass track that ducks when the kick sounds in a kick track.
Can't find anything in neither Cubase nor the GAG-1 manual about how to do it.

You can make a quadro group channel and output the bass to this in stead of the default bus1. Then use send on the kick drum track to send the kick drum to the group track as well. Make sure that the bass is panned in the four quadrant panning field so the signal goes to input 1-2 og GAG-1. The Kick send should be panned so it goes to input 3-4.tombuur wrote:How do I set this thing up in SX3 with external sidechain? Its easier to setup a quadro-bus and inside the quadro bus 2 sub-busses (stereo and stereo Ls Rs). This can be done by right clicking on the created quadro-bus inside the VST-connections window. Now you can route the sidechain-stuff as follow:
The kick by using a send to the quadrogroup (Stereo Ls Rs) and the output of the bass to the quadrogroup (Stereo). Thats all! The Gag is placed inside the quadrogroup and no headache with panning

Excellent suggestion. I never knew one could split up a quadro track that way. I just tried it and it works fine.4damind wrote:Its easier to setup a quadro-bus and inside the quadro bus 2 sub-busses (stereo and stereo Ls Rs). Think I have it working now, even in mono. I think the setup for external sidechain should be in the manual with examples for different hosts. As it is, you have to guess. Not every one may come around this thread and find this advice.

Thank younBeat wrote:Thanks again for a superb plug Torben.
You got a point there Tom. We have not done it so far because there are allot of Hosts and the setup is the same for all side-chain plug-ins, so the Hosts manual would be the right place for this. But maybe we can make it for the 3-5 largest Hosts.tombuur wrote:Think I have it working now, even in mono. BTW could you all please respond to this thread in the future, so we do not have two threads running:
