i am sick and tired of subject like
godzilla 5 against king kong 5 edition
and more pissed off when the "battle" is too generalist , we have to compare host reagarding to a certain type of task or use , but not on an overall comparison wich will fall into subjectivism
again as i said LIve5 vs reason vs fruityloops vs project 5

The details of the program were announced at the July NAMM in the States. The beta testing actually started last weekend, and will run for about a month, depending on what it throws up of course. Ableton will need a short time to deal with any issues revealed by the beta.TSVOS wrote: ....but why takes the Betatest so long ? Live6 is announced since July (or earlier maybe) but the release of the final will be september.

All developers claim with their product... to be the better & more flexible one but does this kind of information realy help the beginner ? Na...i don't think so. Thanks to Communities/Portals such KVR, we can expect help, advises & information about new releases. Ur urin doesn't help. Sorry.

Thank you for the details. As i'm no costumer @ Ableton atm. i couldn't have known when the betatest has started. But i keep my eye on Live because of it's automation pleasure & their friendship with propellerhead. Live enjoys an excellent reputation together with Reason. So it must be true that both programms make an excellent matching in rewire too.headquest wrote:The details of the program were announced at the July NAMM in the States. Awesome, thanks for the info.TSVOS wrote: U are lucky as Live6 will have a sampler very soon which might be not that bad.Of course i'm more NN-XT(Reason)fan as i'm very used to it but it's always useful that each sequencer contain a good sampler.

Let's kill all the noise!!!! Live RULES foreal foreal...
I don't give a damn about P5 and what it can do it still don't measure up to Live. I can't say anything bad about FL Studio because I use it and it's a very powerful capable production tool like it or not. I'll say Live and FL together or separate but man rewire FL with Live is heaven! peace

and if you don't believe me that Live rules I'll let you hear the dope shit I've done with it... It's just too easy to rock reminds me of an MPC which by the way I'll be getting soon to compliment my musical endeavors.

Wow, me too! I use Live a lot but usually bounce it all out to edit it. It's great for doodling, eh? Get a loop going and then grow it into something more?bluedad wrote:I've had Fruity for four yrs and have yet to finish anything with it..get much more done with Live5

I have no idea about P5 but I'm with you on the other points. Reason is solid. It's one program that has NEVER EVER crashed. Love it...headquest wrote:I think it is very personal and really depends on which you "click" with as a musician. That's why you should demo them all (although get a professional registry cleaning tool to sort out your registry after running the P5 demo)
In my case I think that:
* Live and Reason are both absolutely stunning... I could rabbit on about that at great length, but take it for what it is - my personal experience and preference.
* FL is a powerful tool but has some weak spots and looks toyish, so is often not taken as seriously as it deserves. It's awkward for audio multitracking though... to put it mildly!
* P5 is shockingly bad considering it comes from the same company as the excellent Sonar sequencer. It contains some of the worst virtual instruments I have ever heard.
But like I said, those are merely my persoanl views.
