When will we see a new FL Studio?

I was just wondering if there are any hints as to when we can expect a release?

And just for fun, what are something you'd like to see in a new version?

Post

I want to see that RealGuitar 2 works in FLStudio properly for me. And that the AudioMachine works without underruns! I have a M-Audio 410 Firewire, but in FL6 (not in FL5) I always get pops during recording or playing...

we wont see freeze!

I think the thing that would be the best upgrade they could possibly do for me would be to optimize CPU usage better. I'd like to hold more VST's at once without it locking up and stuttering and such. I don't really know what else it needs...

Post

Why don't you just get a better computer? Even people that think FL is shit would have to agree it's fairly light on the CPU...

Still it could do with freeze :)

Post

I'm working on a new computer now, but it would still help (and yes I agree that FL is light on CPU because my friend has Cubase and that thing takes forever to even load up)

C'monnn freeze!

I'd love autosave. That's not to say it's not stable because it is, but tonnes of plug-ins are very unstable, and its a fuckin' pain when it crashes...

I'd love heaps of things in fruity but i also have pro tools and cubase so whatever :)

Seriously - will the next version have freeze?

And will it have multicore support?

I HAVE a new computer - and like most new computers it has a dual core processor - is FL up to date in taking advantage of current hardware technology?

Point is, without either freeze OR multicore support, FL would be really behind the times and fairly useless to me. Many VSTs use loads of processing grunt these days, and most hosts (such as Live in my case) have BOTH freeze AND multicore support.

Post

Who cares about that shit. I've got a multicore system and i'm still so far away from maxing it out...

Post

he's right though, it would be REALLY helpful if it had even one, let alone both.

Post

Are you seriously saying it might have neither?

Older computers really do need freeze - newer ones really benefit from multicore support. Surely any serious host released these days has at least one or the other?

Post

the new version has some support for multicore and smartdisable for generators more info on looptalk
