Thanks for that! As I'm not a current FL user (thinking about it for an age, but happy with Live/Reason) I can't see Looptalk threads - hence asking here. If multicore works it would swing the balance I think - the reason I didn't buy up until now was the lack of freeze.

On the Looptalk forum, IL says that they scheduled the FL Studio 7 release for early 2007.

I just went to download the demo and it's still 6.0.8.

Never mind. I'll just wait and continue to take a vague interest from the sidelines until they add the features that would seal it for me anyway. I still think FL looks damn cool, easy to use and great fun - just wish that from a technical point of view (CPu efficiency/optomisation) it could compete or at least compare with the other software I already use.

Regarding the new beta...I haven't had the chance to download yet, but has anyone used the new smart disable for generators function? Does it work well?

When will we see a new FL Studio?
