I guess the wave form has to be a function that needs exactly 1 value on the y-axis for each x value. Otherwise the membrane of your speaker would have to overlap if you used this instrument.

Maybe some of my suggestions on page 4 in this thread are perhaps interesting though...

well there's the kvr dev contest ending today.
otherwise, I'm very busy at work for 1.5 year on a very exciting and challenging project.
