I've got Sampletank 2.0XL and would like to update to 2.1XL. This includes getting the 6gig sound library. How do I go about it and how much will it cost. Ive been told it will cost me US$99.
Thanks for any replies!

Hi Slov
The ST 2.0 to 2.1 upgrade is free to everyone, and are on your users page on the IK site. It's a free download.
The sound upgrade is available here.

Is it true that Sampletank 2.1 has to be installed as a separate instrument to Sampletank 2.0? I've read this somewhere else.
I simply want to upgrade 2.0 to 2.1 with the new soundlibrary.
Thanks

They are 2 different instruments, and will co-exist on your hard-drive side by side. You can, of course, uninstall 2.0 if you really don't want it. But you do not need to uninstall it before installing 2.1. However, 2.1 will NOT override 2.0.Slovenec wrote:Thanks for the replies!

Thanks for the infor Berfab!
.
I have ordered the sounds upgrade, downloaded ST2.1 and yes, it is a separate plug in which is fine.
I now have 10 days to authoize it but which authorization numbers do I use as I simply downloaded the update from the Sampletank User Area.
Thanks for your reply in advance!

Hey Berfab!
What are your honest opinions of the Classic Studio reverb?
Im seriously looking at this plug in as a nice quality lower CPU alternative to the convolution verbs I will already have.

I really like it a lot. I wrote a review for it on the Esoundz site a while back. In a nutshell, I think it is one of the smoothest reverbs you can get. Very lush, with no tell-tale artifacts. And at a very reasonable price.Slovenec wrote:Hey Berfab!

In fact, I like CSR so much that when I recently bought a new PC for my studio, I deleted all other reverb FX from my VST folder. CSR is the only one I need. And I use it as both a global send as well as an insert plug.
I also got rid of my convolution IR folder. You will immediately hear the difference between the static convolution 'verbs and the real time flow of CSR.
Now, that's not to say that other reverb plugs and convolution IR's don't have their place in the studio. But I have personally found that they are all of lesser quality, duplicative, and provide more of a distraction to my workflow than they're worth. I have yet to find a reverb need that CSR couldn't fill.
I have even gone so far as to eliminate the reverb from some of my Amplitube 2 patches and instead added CSR at the end of the chain for a cleaner sound.
What's really funny about this is that when CSR was first introduced, I asked Squids why the heck I would need a dedicated reverb plugin when I already had Amplitube, a VST folder full of free verbs, and a reverb rack attached to every sampler and synth I already own. He told me I would see a noticable difference with a studio quality plug, and he was right.
Cheers

"I now have 10 days to authoize it but which authorization numbers do I use as I simply downloaded the update from the Sampletank User Area."
Which ST2.1 authorization do I use?
BERFAB- Thanks for your concise reply! I'm seriously looking at adding one of these CSR1's sooner rather than later.
Spacedesigner is in Logic Pro but I honestly don't use it because I find it too much of a pain.
I have Waves Renaissance Reverb and Trueverb avaialble within the Gold Native bundle which i own.
I've never been satisfied with Trueverb and whilst other praise the Renaissance plug in, I'm sure that there is something better (with less CPU load) than this reverb plug.
Anyway thanks for the replies and if anyone can fill me in on the authorization stuff, it would be much appreciated!
