You can check in the "Exciters" thread down a couple of positions...

Could you record it and post it here?it creates a very loud and scary noise.
I really don't know anything about solving your problem. I just want to hear a scare noise.

DJSolo - what host are you using? I'm asking as I might be buying a used copy.
Some good replacements are CLAS and SPECTRALIVE (both spelled in All Caps, strangely enough...). I think you have to email Refined Audiometrics for the CLAS plugin, that's actually toted as being simiar to BBE, sounds awesome.

BBE works here in FL Studio and Orion Platinum.

I know what he's talking about - the BBE works but when you first insert it, or when the project first starts up or whatever you get this sound from hell you never want to hear again...

Same, same. Damn, what a fine plugin! I'm not usually a fan of one-size-fits-all-instant-fairy-dust type solutions, but BBE makes almost anything acoustically recorded sound better.Teksonik wrote:BBE works here in FL Studio and Orion Platinum.

In cubase SX, switching it to "old behavior" stops the dreaded noise from reproducing. I believe that it's a conflict in the VST 2.0 standard. I'm sure other host have a similar option, but I can only comment on Cubase.

Yes I know the Sound From Hell quite well. We used to get it in early DaAlpha2K testing days but that was a sample related issue. Used to scare the cat so bad she would be stuck to the ceiling of the studio for hours.kylen wrote:I know what he's talking about - the BBE works but when you first insert it, or when the project first starts up or whatever you get this sound from hell you never want to hear again...

I get the same loud noise here when loading into Magix. I very rarely use this plugin anymore but often find myself using Spectralive alot.

Interesting...you'd think they'd fix that...as long as the plugin doesn't act buggy during mixing, I'd like to pick it up. I have CLAS and Spectralive, love 'em both, but there's something about that BBE sound. Especially on guitars.

the DX version of BBE works seamlessly, rock solid. (from Virsonix, R.I.P)

i've heard that noise inserting TL audio EQ1 into reaper.
it's like a screaming banshee mixed with someone coupling a battery directly onto your ear drums.
VERY unpleasant.
Kind regards
