Wait I just thought of something. FL Studio as a vsti inside Energy XT as a vsti inside FL Studio. No no too much power, the Space-Time Continuum would simply cease to exist.

but before that, i think FLstudio would complain about having 2 instances open...Teksonik wrote:Wait I just thought of something. FL Studio as a vsti inside Energy XT as a vsti inside FL Studio. No no too much power, the Space-Time Continuum would simply cease to exist.

You guys know that you can actually PLAY automation clips like notes?? So not only do you get the versatility of automating parameters but you dont have to try to sequence them in the playlist.. the automation clip channel actually becomes an playable instrument.. By the way the formula controller kinda turns my head around..

I'm a total software whore and you guys aren't helping me!! I now play around SOLELY with my reason 2.5 and was gonna upgrade to 3.0, but for the price of that boxed upgrade from my local dealer i could pretty much buy FLStudio Producer. And then rewire together.
God i'm so weak, its frightening!!
All the stuff you're talking about sounds awesome though

Well of course. Image Line is smart enough not to allow the destuction of the Universe. As you have probably guessed, i'm not really fussed about using VST/i as i have experienced the hell of downloading every freebie and demo-ing every synth etc, i hated it. But i'd be lying if i said i wasn't tempted by the quality piano roll, beat-slicing and FX for processing my sounds from reason. And i always liked the look of the mixer in FLStudio.Teksonik wrote:Quincy , GO FOR IT! I am also primarily a "trackball and keyboard" type dude, and FLStudio does seem quite friendly for that sort of thing. I HATE the sequencer in reason, and was gonna maybe get cubase SE but i hate dongles and i get a lot of fun for my money with FLStudio.
And f**k me does it look gorgeous on this here new laptop i have with its shiny 15.4" screen and dual core processing

Once you get use to how FL worx I think you will be extremely happy with the way it works as a RW host for reason.. The 'auto tempo' preview of rex files makes also makes them work great together!quincy wrote:I'm a total software whore and you guys aren't helping me!! one other thing, i am totally blown away by the demo tracks produced by this dude "Blake Reary", his dancey tracks are brilliant. I wish i had half the talent this guy has, i've listened to one of his tracks 3 times over, it just sounds perfect to my ears.
So i'm thinking - FLStudio for sequencing, audio/slicing and maybe FX procesing and Reason as my modular synth/sampling rack. Might be onto something here. Let the testing begin......
