Probably have to wait for an official answer but I have a feeling the new update was to fix problems that were occurring because some computers were not up to date.
MrM wrote:Second question; is Discord 2 a good pitchshifter, for drums and for vocals and for speech? If I will use it on single (monophonic) tracks, will it pitch shift without 'stutters' or other artifacts?
I would say yes it is a good pitch shifter, but IMO not the sort you would want to use for a sweet harmony guitar or vocal part. If you are interested in it though just remember the return policy. No questions asked money back. I got my money back with Discord 1.5 no questions asked. Now I have v2

The current version of the Discord 2 installer puts in everything you need; the update mentioned earlier in this thread is no longer necessary. Discord 2 will now work out of the box with all versions of Windows XP. I don't have any verification on this, but it _should_ work fine with WinME and 98SE. Although, if you're trying to run current VSTs on a machine that can only run ME or 98SE, you've got bigger fish to fry than a missing library.

As morelia points out, we will cheerfully give you your money back without any questioning or forms to fill out or any such nonsense. (However, you should be aware that we'll probably talk shit about you to each other on iChat at some point during the next business day. There's a little give and take to every transaction of this nature.) ;-)

Does the new Discord 2 installer put windows (related) stuff on my PC then?

Sorry; I missed this.

To answer your question, no, the installer puts nothing in your computer other than the DLL which is the plugin itself, and the registry key that all our plugins install. What we did was include the library in the plugin, rather than requiring it. The net result was that the plug increased slightly in size, but no longer requires the library, because it already has it.

Cool!

----I don't feel I should tell anyone to buy it if you haven't tried it, so if you're interested and don't already have a previous version, check the demo out, it's a pretty cool little plug. But, if anyone is on the fence about upgrading to the new version, do it yesterday, do not hesitate. :)

Im really loving Discord 2 but their is annoying bug on the Mac vst version where it does not recall presets stored in the SX3.1.1 presets menu.
