What they does mean? I saw one for Virus A and For Roland JV 1080 at one studio durring session. Is this does mean that you can recall patch and settings for from synth(egt. Virus and roland JV) per project? Like from VST land? Is automation supported too like VST? I mean like you playing with knobs on that map and you write automation etc...

Device maps cover two areas, program/bank changes and automation/changes of sound parmeters.
Thye knobs/buttons can be configured to send controller and sysex data. As with VSTi GUI's the paramaters can be automated and the automation edited.
The only downside to device maps is that they are not easy to create (at least I don't think they are), but for fairly simple maps it is not that bad.
