I was playing with the demo. Seems to work on audio channels easy enough. I haven't figured out how it works on instrument channels.

Turns out it works great.

Okay, so I tried a third time and still got the price in Euro.

However, believing you to be honest people I guessed something was wrong, so I signed up as a new customer at Shareit and in the process I was asked what currency to use.

After that I went back to my old login and found somewhere to edit currency to dollars. That done I ordered GAG-1 at the advertized price.

Now, it's just nagging me a bit that I might have paid too much for MPL-1. Shareit told me that purchase of MPL-1 was my last registered transaction, so possibly I paid in Euro ... aaarghh.

Message to all those screaming masses who want to purchase GAG-1: Make sure you pay in US dollars!!! In George W. Bush we trust - at least as long as we save a little money.

EDIT: Just to make it clear. That drop down menu on the first page doesn't change the currency to USD if your user profile is set up to another currency. You have to edit somewhere in your profile where your credit card information is too.

Please... Use a NEW customer account at Shareit for every product you buy. Otherwise you'll be very very sorry if you ever try to sell one of your VST's, since Shareit doesn't support selling a single product from a user account...

When purchasing with shareit I always enter my name and address so I have not experienced any weirdness like those. Very strange indeed :?

Bringing this one back from the dead...

I just tried GAG-1, it's great, really.

One suggestion though :
Add a midi out, and set a cc to output the state of the gate, with an inverse switch, so you can control wether you have a 0 or 127 value when the gate is open or closed.

That would add A LOT of creative potential to this already really cool plug.

cheers

Just wondering, because maybe I am going back to Sonar (disappointed with what little Cubase 4 has added in 2 years). Does GAG-1 sidechaining work in Sonar if you set up surround bus and do appriate mutes or pans?

Sure it does in Sonar5. But the panning is a pain in the B***..

Hey Ddrummer, how does this work? I'm thinking about the Sonar6 upgrade from Sonar4, and if the sidechaining is going to work properly on my Kjaerhus plug-ins, I'm totally in.

Same here. I have both Cubase SX3 and Sonar 5, and probably end up upgrading both.

But, anyway, the only thing I would miss in Sonar 6 was the ability to do sidechaining with GAG-1 (and perhaps other plugins later on). So if this can be done, albeit with a pain in th B..., I may go back to become a Sonar user again. Looks like Sonar has made the biggest step forward with the new version, you see. Steinberg must have been asleep for 2 years.

EDIT: I found a description of setting up sidechaining in Sonar over at the Kjaerhus Forum:
