Hi...I need a kind soul or two to do some testing for me. No payments involved, just fun, and a sneak peak at as-of-yet-unreleased-stuff.

Requirements:

1. You must own the Cakewalk Rapture Vsti. (Regged users only please)

2. You must own the Viral Outbreak Vol.1 Sampleset in SFZ Format, by Nucleus Sound Lab.

That's it.

If anyone out there meets the above requirements, and wants to test drive a few of the Rapture presets for the VOB1 set, drop me a line via PM or in this thread.

FYI, I got this from Rene himself over in the Cakewalk forum (and it assumes you're using Windows):

If you have both DP and RP, I suggest to place any new samples inside DP Multisamples folder. My rationale is that it's cleaner to have only one of both growing, easier to backup, transport, etc.

The 'Multisamples Folder' registry entry works in Rapture as well. The installer doesn't create it, basically because Rapture factory multisample set is tiny (about 1MB), but you can create it yourself and in this way relocate Rapture multisamples folder anywhere in your system (I have it relocated *inside* DP multisamples folder myself). It's HKLM\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\Rapture\Multisamples Folder (szstring).

Since there was no overlap in folder or sample names, I copied my Rapture Multisamples folder contents into my DimPro Multisamples and set the RegKey above. Now both work fine, for both DimPro and Rapture.

I hope this helps other customers that also have both DimPro and Rapture, and get VOB, although it does require comfortability in using regedit.
