Hi guys

I'm seeking a way to change the presets of any Native fruity Plugs (Generators & effects) using any MIDI Controller (internal or external). I know you can do itfor VSTi presets by loading a MIDI Out Channel -> setting the "in port" of your VSTi channel the same as your MIDI out (e.g. Port# 1)-> Link to controller the "Patch" in the MIDI Out channel. But this methode doesn't work for any Native FL plugin and VST Effects. What are your tricks and suggestion about this?

Thanks

I'd like to go way further. By selecting a patch (with my foot, please!), I'd like the host to go into whatever state I can define. That means, a preset message sets up the patch on every channel in the stepper, mutes or unmutes generators or mixer channels, sets levels and any other params on the mixer, arms tracks for record, that sort of thing.

Another stomp sets up a totall different set of arbitrary params.

Is this vision too much to ask? I realize I should do my homework and find out if it's actually easy or something.

yes that's a very cool idea James, but maybe not practical for now. maybe in ver 7 or something. but it's tempting :hyper:

Really? I would have thought this was possible, if maybe painstaking for a large project. Are you saying this type of control doesn't exist? Oh well. I have a vision for making a synth idiot-proof (I'm the idiot), in a live setting.

I mean, I can select a performance on my Roland synth with one footswitch. It puts my piano, organ, and a variety of lead synths into a performance with all the channels setup to match my controller so I can play without even looking at the synth controls. And I can step through the couple of performances I need, really easily.

I'm envisioning something like that in a software synth. I don't even want to have a screen, mouse, or alpha keyboard anywhere near me on stage, if I can avoid it.

I would like to have kind of an "automatic link to controller" feature.
What I mean: Just point with your mouse to a knob, fader, whatever, and moving a slider on my bcf2000 would automatically control that parameter.

last tweaked parameter/ link to controller
that's all
there could be too much unwanted knobs assigned with your technique

I know that.
What I want is something like in cubase for example. you can point to a fader and change its value with your mousewheel. All I want is a dynamic assignment. :)

I asked Gol about this some years ago, but the idea was dismissed. Shame really - some hosts and plugs use it.
