Absolutely killer sound.I never tried their stuff till now. I was looking for a multiband but didn't want to get an old waves.I've got enough of their stuff.
But before I buy it, has anybody been able to compare to see what is the best and what is the most used by professionals?

They are VERY good sounding plugs some of the best.

Any comparison to Waves Linear phase multiband compressor. I wanted to download a demo for an a/b comparison but I didn't find a demo plus I hate the way their site is setup with a passion. You go around in circles a million times before you get anywhere.Only if Their plugin blows away this one would I get waves.

I'm speaking strictly of a sound comparison. Dongles no problem for me and once it's hooked up, you just forget it.

They are two totally different beasts. I think the sonalksis is based on dynamic filters instead of limiting the amplitude. I would be a bit careful of buying anything Sonalksis as that company may go bankrupt or something. They have not provided the gate they promised nor have they updated the forum in a while. I'd say stay away from them for now until you are sure the company doesn't go belly up.

Very interesting post bManic.
I found the punch in the sonaiksis
incredible.Too bad I can't hear the waves thing. Any other high end multiband processors in the top end league? PSP is ok but not high end enough.

Just tied out the wave arts demo. I like it alot. I also tried using the "basic expander" setting along with the Sonaiksis CQ1 low frequency enhance setting. Nice highs, mids and kick butt bottom.
I may get both. Sounds like a record.I tried it on an old rolling stones song I emulated just for trying out the plugins.

The flexibility of Voxengo Soniformer is unique. The level of control you have with it is incredible and it's sound quality (the cross over filters) is top notch. It also comes with a highly usable mid/side processing block that can re-shape the mix for a more balanced stereo image. If you are an advanced user and thoroughly understand compression and how to use it then I highly recommend Soniformer 2.

For a more traditional multiband I suggest you check out http://www.x-buz.com/index2.html

Ken Watabe offers a quite nice linear multiband compressor with a flexible feature set. Highly recommended too.
