I am looking for a vst plugin to simulate audio freeze to be used typically with drum loops to produce effects like squarepusher (quick repeat of a small part of buffered audio)

But I want a simple one to do that in real time, not through editing. Ideally I just want to adjust the buffer value and click a button whenever I want the effect to kick in.

So I am not talking about complex stuff like phatmatik pro and co.

Can anyone help ?

dblue Glitch is good but it is not exactly what I was looking for (simple and straigth live action)

memory IS excellent! ya might want to try "Cyclotron X2 v1.0" from arcDev noise industries as well...there are some very useful tools there too 8)
...and welcome to KVR, ulambert!

my 'sandh' effect does bpm synced waveforms, so it's less of a buffer override effect and more 'makes the sound frozen but at the same pitch' w/o any artifacts from inharmonic rate.. :p

'muchacho' and 'gum' do the b.o. stuf but with a different approach, as do most of these style plugs.. :)
