It might not be what you are looking for, but there is a simple and FREE multisampled Yamaha 5 string bass in sfz format on our sites download page.
The samples are picked, not fingered, and there are harmonics included.
It isn't for everything, but it certainly has its uses. And because its in sfz format, the samples are easily accessed, so you can do what you want with them.
