Very true indeed. Thankfully, *that* has only been mildy hindered by my software gripes. The music would march on and continue being written even in a blackout.

Please don't think me an idiot. Of course not. I was complaining about MY particular annoyances/hinderances to MY preferred workflow.
When I'm complaining about routing in rewire, it's a hinderance to *my* preferred workflow. You say "so what?", but workflow seems to be an important factor for Tracktion, as it's one of it's main selling points on it's website. It's indeed a selling factor for most of the software packages out there. My particular gripes on certain software packages obviously really don't bother you, and I envy that.

If you don't want to produce, record, mix and master your tracks, then hire someone else to do it, or do it yourself. If you wanted to just 'write', then be in a band, play one instrument, and let someone else record, produce and mix the songs. The point is SOMEONE has to do it if you want a finished/polished song. Writing music is easy. Writing GOOD/finished music is work.

You're telling me to just not do something if I don't like it. Or like it and shut up. Imagine if your fav. software thought the same way... They would just release something, and then tell the users to f**k off whenever they complained, and NEVER realease a FEATURE update, possibly only functional updates.

Hey, you started the rant, I continued. Tracktion to me is a hinderence. I hate its looks (looks like a shareware program from 1995), and it's light on features. I do lots of tracks, lots of midi editing, lots of mixer action, and it's just... non-inspiring. If that's all I had to write music with, would I use it? Oh hell ya. But we have choices. So are you saying your problems can't be overcome with keyboard shortcuts at ALL???

I'm not a business man trying to keep your business, just calling it as I see it. Like you said, you started it... I'm saying I have offered a way to work around it. Have you tried keyboard short cuts? You havne't said one way or another if you had?

Now, what I'd like to see is totally customizable workflow for the bigger hosts. Heck, I've even said that in print in a magazine. I'd like to be able to hide stuff I don't use on a regular basis. It would make it easier. Still, I use enterprise applications that make Cubase seas of menus and drop downs feel like childs-play in comparison. I find it better to at least have the options even if I don't use it than to never have the option at all. Some day, I might need it, and have that "a-ha!" moment. I just find it easy to ignore the pieces I don't need.
