LOL! No worries. I understand. At least you are up-front about it. Your #2 reason is why I don't think Midiwork's infamous vaporware amp plugin will ever see the light of day. LOL! It is better to be more up-front this way.ZioKiller wrote:Hey,
no big boys out there made me any offer, I'm not enjoying holydays because I'm still at work 10 hours a day, I'm not working on the sax plugin because...
because:
1. I have not enough time, and space, and silence, and quiet, and concentration, and all the good things one needs to do such a job...
2. My fear is that once I release the plugins many of you could be highly disappointed.. kind of "what? all this long wait for this shit?"... I think you overestimate me...
my apologies...
Thanks for letting us know.

I just got back from vacation to discover that this thread has gone to sleep for over a month. And I just can't allow that to happen.
Guido,
Anything that you've got that's good enough to produce your experimental sax demos is good enough to get into beta test with people like Tony O. It's time for detailed feedback, and having contact with beta testers is very motivating. Just because some of us very much appreciate your talent doesn't mean that we expect you to publish something perfect right away.

I dont think that the PM sax will ever see the light of day.
Why? Because it simply DOESN'T and DID NOT ever exist. All you people got had, donated money etc.
Sure the trumpet PM was good, great even, and FREE. And with the $$$ in donations he made, he bought a REAL sax and choofed off!!!

My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Unify = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.

I really hope that you were joking. Guido is one of the great souls who have been giving something serious to the community for a long time, and been giving it free all the time. If my memory serves me right he already started with soundfont drumsets back in the 90s in a time when there really wasn't many decent real drum samplesets let alone free ones. And he also developed MrRay that is absolutely suberb.ben_horwood wrote:I dont think that the PM sax will ever see the light of day.

Give man a break. He really deserves it.

Is this a provocation? Well, it served.
Yes, I own a real sax, but the demo you've heard is from the plugin prototype...
Do you really think that a REAL SAX would sound that bad?!
Ok, I'm on vacancy now... and I think I've enough time to design a GUI and release a beta in the next days.

I know I shouldn't react to trolling but I feel the need to state that Guido is a HIGHLY respected part of this and other communities and has proven himself time and again to be a gentleman of high moral values that gives WAY more than he takes.ben_horwood wrote:I dont think that the PM sax will ever see the light of day.

I recommend doing a bit of research on people before attacking their character...

wow, i never tried this before, despite the 60 pages of praise, because i thought it would be too conventional and not f**ked up enough for my tastes, boy... was I wrong!!!
holy shit, this thing is a BEAST! i play it so it sounds nothing like a trumpet, but that's the appeal! this is way better then the saxophone one, it's much more powerful and screwed up!
this is really fun to play
thank you!
