Let's go for it then! This may be the ticket!

kovacs,
how difficult would it be to get the donation receipts posted in .pdf or some other web-friendly format on the www.katrinareliefcd.com website?
I think we need to show these for credibility purposes with organizations like the Grammys MusiCares program.

The thing is I don't have the receipts as anything but e-mails since I had to have a friend in the US go and deposit the funds.
FWIW I can make screendumps of the e-mails perhaps?

Hm...when I think about it I am not sure exactly what I have. I'll check my mailbox when I get home.
My friend in Virginia has fallen off my radar and I haven't reached her for months now. But maybe I can call Red Cross and HFH and ask for faxed receipts...

Okay, I checked my bank account to see when the payments were made, just to make sure I have the dates and figures correctly.

Kovacs,
Excellent. At least we have the records to point to if someone asks how the money gets to the charities.
I will go ahead and contact MusiCares to see if they can put a link to our site on their page. I'm guessing that we will have to do the same in kind - put a link to MusiCares on our site.

Yes, go ahead and ask. I can add the link(s) on our site as required.

Wha!!
Awesome guys!
I was thinking that a revival was in order as we are coming up on the anniversary.
According to our cdbaby sales, we have some funds available for marketing (check me on this Tormod). Also, I have several Chrysalid CDs available for promo purposes. Unfortunately, our efforts to try and market the cd by reviews have been...unfruitful. That CAN change!
I am in for the revival, of course.
Tunecore looks cool, but it is young (beta). The only problem, as already mentioned, is that we have an exclusive digital rights contract with cdbaby. That means that we can't distribute through iTunes, or others, from another distributor, so I don't know if it provides us with any advantage at this point.

BTW Tormod -- I will send out a test message on the Katrina email system to see if it still works OK. We should probably put Scotty on it if he isn't already.
Also -- thanks for you comments on my new website -- it's taken me three months to get it properly organised.
Cheers,
Alex

I doubt that the mailing list works...I have moved server and is about to move to yet a new server tomorrow (a hacker attack compromised the current one). It's a breeze to set it up again though.
