i like the sound, i guess ... altho' i don't use a lot of reverb on my tracks.
SIR is the only IR player i have, so i haven't compared it to others, but i prefer it to many of the hardware units i've owned, and to the reverbs in Live5. I like messing around with non-reverb IRs too ...

I like wizooverb 2, it is the most transparent and realistic verb i've heard.Listen to the demo clips or download the demo plug. http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/W ... -main.html

How many IR reverbs are there? I only know about SIR, Convo Boy and Pristine Space. And tbh I mostly use algorithmic reverbs instead of IR, because I'm too lazy to browse my IR collection... Unless I'm specifically looking for strange FX (for which I use Spirit Canyon).

I guess my vote would have to go to the one I actually bought -- Elevayta Convo Boy.

I have to say that the wizoo verb did sound excellent. The few demo IR's that comes along are outstanding. They have a very different "depth" and perception to them than anything else (I've used waves IR and Altiverb quite a lot). However, I've yet to buy an IR reverb for home use as I seem to have all I need with SIR and ArtsAcoustic reverb.

Cheers!

Another vote for Wizooverb here. Very impressed with it so far, both on the IR and the algorithm sides. Just picked it up on sale for $94 at Audio Midi, even sweeter:

now that is a good deal :)

I don't use it too often since it's a bit too heavy for me and sometimes too analytical if you know what i mean the room feeling on the other hand is phenomenal

if they throw it out for $94 I wonder if AVid has told them to quit developing it and focus on the Digidesign front

my current favorite is QUIKQUAK RAYSPACE-very realistic but clean and transparent
space-simulation. does not color the sound (in a bad way)at all.
also not too expensive!

What's the future of Wizooverb? As they have been overtaken by digidesign, it is a common presumption that they will discontinue it for the native market...

I think M-Audio will maintain it.... but who knows what will happen

The IR's that come with it are nice but i think its the actual plugin itself thats responsible for much of the transparency and depth thats heard. When i use IR's that are of my other convo plugs library's they sound better in wizoo then those plugs in a very noticeable way- this is in wizoo's advertisement.

P.S. If you wish not to spend money i advise you not to keep it on your harddrive to long :)

Indeed! At the sale price it's almost a no brainer.
