if what i hear comes from that synth, not ordinary samples (which i doubt, as the dynamic playing wouldn't be possible), then yes, this is revolutionary.
now there's not a word if it can be played polyphonic, to create ensembles ... i hope so ...
but considering it is playable/usable, not too high cpu hunger, i'd pay up to 300€ for that.
but, i wish they would add the same for strings ... ;)

Not real.

Not only is it real, I am reviewing it in an upcoming Wusik Sound Magazine - and YES, I do have a beta/NFR copy and WIVI, as it is called, is AMAZING!

It is 100% for real and NOT sample based at all. The downloads are tiny and there is zero load time for presets, just like Pianoteq (see my review in this coming issue of Wusik Sound Magazine).

By the way, you can buy it right now. It's for sale.

Ha. That's funny, but not a surprise. How did this prank play out? Did arwa02 eventually confess?

EDIT: karmacomposer and I posted at the same time.
So, what's the real story?

. . . is totally wrong. He did not do his homework and just made a bad guess.

Wallander is the guy's name and WIVI is a real instrument (vsti) and sounds fantastic.

Yep, that's it. You beat me to it. I was looking for the URL and had to re-install the vsti.

It is so cool. You add brass instruments, one at a time, to a stage and where you place them, and where you place the virtual listener, as well as how you shape the room you are in, dictates what it sounds like. It's all very 3D and visual. Most importantly, it sounds TOTALLY REAL!!!

Brok,

I just read your polyphonic question.

Originally, it was indeed monophonic, but I suggested to Wallander that people may want to set up a brass ensemble or trumpet section or a jazz trio or whatever, and play it in chord structures.

Within a week not only was it polyphonic, but he even went to far as to make it recognize popular chord structures - which can be turned on and off.

mike, this sounds great ... though:
1. no pc version?? (i only see mac on the hp)
2. no strings, no percussions, etc ... is that to come?
3. does one have to buy each instrument seperately? or is there a bundle?
4. how is it on the cpu?
5. can one play it directly polyphonc on the keys?
