Has anyone bought this?

The demos sounds very interesting, but the page doesn't say what format it's in, so I assume it's some encrypted stuff that only plays in the Elastik thing.. Anyone knows?

[edit] Doh.. They have their own forum here..

I have issues with Ueberschall as a company, so I wont be buying this. But certainly this seems like a reasonable buy for anyone interested. These libraries used to be sold seperately, but as like many other devs, they must have lost sales and been forced to give away their back catalogue for a steal.

Well, it's 300 bucks, so I wouldn't feel like too much of a thief.. :hihi: And if it's in an encrypted format with no editing beyond Elastik, it's not so interesting..

What issues do you have btw?

Melodyne now has the ability to use Uebershcall content.
If you happen to own it (which I'm guessing you don't; I seem to recall it being quite expensive) I'm pretty sure I recall reading that you can manipulate it's tuning/key/length/tempo or whatever else it does and kick it out as a .wav.

I believe that only applies to the Liquid series, not the Elastik instruments.

I think their content is quite similar - I used to have the VLP120 and I recognised that a lot of the guitar stuff in there is also in the Liquid Guitar player, which is also available as a Melodyne Library at Celemony (..I'm aiming at these now...). The Resource itself features the Libraries from the VLP, VCP, PLP and BLP.

A note for those who don't like such sound-modules (...like me, I shouldn't have sold this one, as the content is top-notch... :dog: ) - it should be pretty easy to sample these using Ableton Live: One sample per clip, a bunch of clips per track - hit freeze and rename the files with some auto-renaming tool - then continue with the next bunch...
