Yes, I also would live well with a latency of < 400-500ms, for realtime use.

I'm VERY interested in a Pro version of this plugin. Something that could sound good in a center channel application and other surround decoding.

Please go for it! :hail:

err, there's a download fee? Unless i'm mistaken, that's not --as advertised-- completely free. Am i perhaps missing something? I can understand making a pro version for sale, but charging a download fee?

I ordered the Productivity Bundle earlier - an insanely good price for some very useful plugins :)

Just calm down there man.

The point was it is offered as 'completely free' .. then you find you do actually need to pay something. THAT is the issue, not the fact that we only earn a shelf stackers wage.

This is an old thread and you know what I found out? - It costs ME money to give things away for free!

Extra Boy has been donationware for quite some time now. So the advertised as 'completely free' (in this thread) is out of date - I will modify it accordingly.

I have recently introduced a download fee for my donationware and freeware plug-ins. The fee you pay is a Bandwidth Fee, it is not a fee for the plug-in itself, it is a fee for downloading the plug-in.

Why?

1000's of people per week are downloading, making very good use of my freely available plug-ins (Great! :D ). Some are emailing me for support (most often not related to any technical issue with my plug-ins). This not only takes up bandwidth from my site (which I have to pay for BTW) but the support takes time out of development and providing support for users of my licensed products.

On top of this, the proportion of people who bother to donate is shameful (but I am still grateful to those that do).

So, I had a simple choice. Stop making my donationware and freeware plug-ins available OR charge a small bandwidth fee to cover the costs of hosting them, maintaining them and providing minimal support.

I don't have a problem with the bandwidth fee...(actually I think its a great idea to cover some of your expenses, and losses... however my dilema is that I don't have a bank account, credit card and paypal for that matter... I would gladly give you .90 cents for the fee, if I could mail it to you...LOL anyway, I'll continue looking for it and see if someone can upload it somewhere for me, like meupload, RS, or yousendit.com

Thanks for the help!
