Switching projects between Mac and Pc DAW (sampletank issue)

I have two DAW setups, a Mac setup and a PC setup. Both have same hardware (midi and sound), same Plug ins, same virtual instruments, etc. so that I can port projects between platforms. I recently installed Sampletank 2.11 on both DAW, and started a project using my PC setup, then when I tried to open the project on the mac setup, it prompts me with an error that it could not find Sampletank 2.11. Sampletank is in fact installed and working properly on the Mac, and it opens fine manually, but without any of the projects settings. All other plugins work fine.
I suspect the reason is because Sampletank installs itself on diferent directories in a PC in respect to Macs.
At this moment, the PC Directory is ...ProgramFiles/Steinberg/CubaseSX/Vstplugins/Vstplugins
on the mac I manage to place Sampletank2.x.vst inside the cubasesx.app (right clicking it to show package contents) contents/Vstplugins/Vstplugins
Thanks for any information

Ok...I could be wrong, but I think your mac doesn't really care what your pc thinks although the other way around could be trouble
Sampletank2.x.vst on my mac is installed:
hd>Library>Audio>Plug-ins>VST
My cubase has no trouble finding it...
On my PC, I *used to* (I don't use my pc for music anymore) place ALL my vst's in the Vstplugins folder for consistency sake.
I don't get what you're saying when you say you "manage to place Sampletank2.x.vst inside the cubasesx.app (right clicking it to show package contents) contents/Vstplugins/Vstplugins"
Are you saying you tried to add the Sampletank vst to the cubase app?
Just re-install Sampletank, use the default install and it should all work...it's a mac...you don't need to do a bunch of gyrations to make things work...
BTW, before I get flamed about the "mac" thing...I'm programmer and prior to OS X, I was a Linux on PC guy...OS X made that pointless.
Now I get a stable, speedy, practical OS and it's freakin' pretty too

"Sampletank2.x.vst on my mac is installed:
hd>Library>Audio>Plug-ins>VST"
That is where sampletank used to be when it was first installed. I have moved it around diferent places in the hard drive to try to find a place where my PC Cubase projects can find it, with no luck yet. I have tried placing it inside:
hd>Library>Audio>Plug-ins>VST, as well as username>Library>Audio>Plug-ins>VST
and in both cases Cubase SX finds it when opening new Cubase projects or Cubase projects that where done with the MAC, but not so when porting Cubase PC projects.

Yes that is exactly what I have done, you only need to right click the CubaseSx.app file, and choose show contents, and from there you will everything inside the file (the same way you would see it in a windows machine: Programfiles/Steinberg/cubaseSX. And it has also work fine when installing it there, but again, not so with projects ported from a Cubase PC project.
Thanks for your interest..
BTW, I too feel that Mac is less troublesome to make things work, and like I said the problem its not that Sampletank doesnt work, its just when porting PC projects
