Does anyone know if there is any product out there that will automate the sampling of hardware keyboards? I am looking for something where I can tell it to go and it will basically send a series of midi note on/off events to midi out and sample the audio in at the same time to produce a folder full of wav files that represent the various keys and velocity levels I want sampled.
Anything like that out there?
it would be especially cool if it could also provide a soundfont with the layers and so forth..

I have Samplerobot and it works great. There is also Samplerobot Essentials which is a scaled-back and less expensive version. Samplerobot exports projects to Soundfont as well as Reason NNXT and Halion formats. And it also has a lot of sampling presets onboard for different sounds that you may be sampling as well as being able to set up all the parameters yourself.
