umm, this could get ugly real quick -- but i consider myself christian in a sense, and i dont condone nor protect pedophilia -- that type of generalization is disturbing.

Phrazor can currently be had for free, and it's the most intuitive sequencer program I've ever used!

I downloaded both Music Studio versions, but I couldn't figure out in either of them where or how to insert a VST Instrument. Any help would be welcome, but since I'm not very familiar with the pkg a screen shot would be quite welcome. If I could just get that helpful shove off the shore I think I'd be well on my way.

I've used Sonar ever since it's DOS ver. 1 days, and I'm on Producer 3 now, but of late it's gotten a bit unstable and top-heavy to me at least. I love the MIDI features, even if it's just what I'm used to, but as far as .wav editing I'm head over heels about Audition ever since CoolEdit 1.0. I just want something light and nimble, but flexible.

Anyhoo, any help on Music Studio would be GREATLY appreciated.

I've been using the free Anvil Studio for about 8 or 9 years, and I know it inside out (it's simple anyway). If you have any questions about it feel free to PM me. Early versions were buggy but did have a certain feature (now removed) that I used to use a lot... The present version is good, but I'm still using a version from the year 2000. If you donwload Anvil Studio and also the free Jazz midi sequencer, you have all the midi sequencer you'll ever need. The Anvil Studio layout and presentation are very good, so there's no confusion when you just want to get your ideas down. Mixer, composer views, config etc. are all very easy to use. Quantization is a bit iffy and also sometimes you might want to shift groups of notes left or right.. Anvil doesn't let you do these things so you'll need Jazz as well. But Jazz is lousy for recording/composing IMO.
